Perfect rice and soup
By Zehrin
it feels quite light. you feel it is just pretty that wont work....i am using it everyday for what not. i braised eggplants in it to make spinach. it is a great spinach pot. i made steamed sushi rice in it (wrapped in cheesecloth), came out nice n fluffy. made lentil soup..was so easy for my kids to stir it ...the size is just perfect.the design is space saving. the reason i am giving it a 4 is that i am not sure how long it will last. i am afraid to abuse this pot as i enjoy the privilege of my cast-iron pots. it feels too light to last for a longtime. wish Lodge designed a pot like this with heavier weightafter many months: i proof my pizza dough in it. it is great. i even baked a loaf in it. it got so burned i did not think i could resurrect it. i soaked it for 3 days fearing the burned spots wont come off. Lo n behold, it just came up when I rubbed it just a bit with a dishcloth. I wont bake bread in it again: i cannot take the agony of seeing a beautiful pot turn into pitch black (the oven temp is pretty high).but for proofing, making rice, lentils, spinach, steamed lentil cakes, it is great.i think i am beginning to trust it more

Good Value
By Ginny Lee
I have used this pot a few times since getting it and it works well. Great for sauteing before added to stock to make a great soup. I got the red one and I love the color.
