Thermal cooker saves energy costs and preparation time Simply place the ingredients in the inner pot, cover lid and bring to a boil on your stove (approx 10 minutes). When brought to a boil, remove from stove and place in outer thermal pot. Thermal technology creates a convection effect by using the steam produced inside to circulate and continue cooking for up to 30 minutes and warms for up to 8 hours Food is cooked in its own moisture and steam, so nutrients are preserved. Compared to a pressure cooker, thermal cooker is 30-Percent more energy efficient. Put all the ingredients into the inner pot and bring it to boil. Once boiling reduce the heat to bring the contents to a simmer and let it simmer for 10 to 15 mins (depending on the recipe instructions). Once the simmering time is complete take the inner pot off the stove and put it into the outer pot. There is no need to plug in any power cord. the food will continue its "thermal cooking process" using the retained heat. after the required time (e.g, rice 30 minutes, chicken stock 2 hrs; beef brisket 3.5 hrs), just open the outer pot, and a nutritional and flavorful meal is hot and ready. The thermal cooker has excellent heat retention capacity, the food inside the pot can retain a temperature of over 140°F even after 6 hrs.

I love this product.Very please,bougth 2 first try them for feeding the homless in the park,keep the food very hot for loong hours.And I order two more of the Matbah Stainless Steel Non-Electric Thermal Rice/Soup Warmer.Very handy and nice looking, I use them every day,and they still looking like new.Thank You Amazon.And great price$$$$$$$$.Try you like it.

Poor quality control

This is a good idea, poorly executed, but the outside is pretty!The pot is thin, there were manufacturing scars inside the pot, and it lacks a multiply bottom. The insulation surround conducts heat at the center seam badly, thus it does not stay hot overnight for cooking, I have one of the Zojirushi thermal cookers, though more expensive, it works. I plan to return this item.
