Tramontina 3-pc. Pasta Cooker with Lock and Drain Strainer 6 quart

I LOVE THIS COOKER ... I purchased this pot in a larger size (8 qt) and have used it for quite a few years. When I discovered it on Amazon in a smaller size, I first wrote to the merchant to verify that it was truly 6 qt, then snapped it up I love being able to drain potatoes for mashing and draining steamed vegetables without being burned and without having to resort to the use of a third item such as a colander for draining so less mess and dishes to wash. The quality is high. It's a heavy stainless steel with all information per size and mfg. stamped on the underside. The drainer slips into the specially designed notches then twists easily to a no fall off position. The lid is improved over my older 8 quart but both will vapor seal at the boil point. These Tramontina cookers are the best designed pots I've ever purchased and used. I can't say enough to encourage its purchase if you are in the market for all around fine quality and performance. does its job, but a little flimsy for a tramontina pot. I had an 8 qt. pasta cooker from tramontina that my son burned the pot of the set on so I was replacing one and this one is SOOOO much lighter weight - which turns out to be a good thing for me because it's easier to carry, but it makes it feel like this one is lower quality compared to the other one I had.
