My wife wants another one

The simmermat is rather thin. From the picture, I expected some heavy cast iron something. My initial impression was not great. BUT, then we used the simmermat. It really does what is advertised. Having a gas stove, we have always had to precariously stack two or three stove burner racks on top of one another, and still could not simmer without sticking and scorching. Excuse my terminology. I may not describe with the proper part names, but you get the picture. Well, after using the simmermat three times I asked, "what do you think?". My wife's answer was "Buy another one!" So here I am, leaving a comment, and buying another one.

As the title says, it worked so well I got another one. I have a glass-top electric stove, so they are especially handy when I make sauces that would otherwise be difficult to keep from burning, at least without constant whisking. Now I can leave the pots on low heat basically indefinitely to keep warm while I cook other things, and nothing burns or even sticks to the pan. Highly recommended!

No complaints. This item does its job as stated on the packaging. It makes all cast iron usable on ceramic top stoves. Anyone in need would do well to purchase it.
