Great pot so far!
By DM
We bought this to replace an old Calphalon pot which crashed to our floor and bent out of shape. The old pot was wonderful, but quite heavy and you had to hand wash it. This one retains the nonstick feature (an essential when making split pea soup), yet is much lighter. The glass lid has a vent built into it, making overflows much less likely. Lastly, the whole thing can go into the dishwasher if you want, but is easy to wash by hand, too, especially since it is lighter weight than the old pot. You can maneuver it around. We still have another T-Fal piece that we bought over 20 years ago, and it's still going strong! That's what led us to buy this one.The one possible negative I could even think of is that it's very tall, making it a little difficult for us folks of shorter stature to ladle out the soup. It is a 12 quart pot, though, so you have to expect the volume to come from somewhere.Overall, a great pot! And we do a lot of cooking!!!Update: We still own the pot in 2012 and it's still going strong! Easy to clean, too.

Good Value
By Gary D. Smith
We make a lot of soups and had been using a stainless steel soup pot. But we found that if you have some pasta in your soup and are re-heating it, you must watch closely and stir often or the pasta will stick to the bottom of the pot. This is a real pain to clean so we invested in this non-stick pot just in case. It is a smaller diameter than we were used to and a bit taller but we find it to be just great. My research showed that the T-Fal lining is better than some of the others which tend to flake off.

Favorite stock pot
By Jan Ellars
I have owned my T-fal stock pot for 2 years and I love it so much I purchased 3 more for my daughtes and daughter-in-law. It is heavy metal and has a very good non-stick finish. It is a slightly smaller diameter than most dutch oven pans that come with a set so it fits well on the large burner of a stove. It is deep enough to make that big pot of soup, stew, noodles, etc and not boil over. The glass lid has a steam hole which is great for simmering. Recommend to every cook. You,ll wonder what you ever did without it.
